How to Fight The Flu With Food!
I am still recharging from a fun trip to Whistler, Canada this past weekend!
Yes! That’s right! Five girls, one car and about 50 bags. Oh ya, and no directions!
One of the coolest things about this weekend is that we all could come together, from different cultural backgrounds, professions and lifestyles to celebrate our friend’s upcoming wedding!
Two common things we talked about were FOOD and the fact that none of us have gotten bogged down with the flu this year! Each person had a different tip to fight the flu!
And with that, let’s roll into this week’s episode of E TV!
Question: How Do You Fight The Flu With Foods?
Stress, jobs, sick kids and weakened immune systems can turn the littlest germ or bug into the full-blown flu!
Let’s face it! Who needs the flu knocking us off our routines when you can help prevent it or shorten it’s span? Not to mention, who really feels like cooking when you’re already feeling like bunk!
Watch this week’s episode of E TV to put a spin on a simple yet traditional soup to stop the flu dead in its tracks!
And for those who need a little extra help to get those creative juices going, use this step by step recipe to pump you back up!
Unless you live in a bubble, I’m sure you have been hit with the flu before!
What foods did you use to help fight off the flu or keep it at bay?
If you don’t have your health, you don’t have your wealth! So c’mon over to mykitchenshrink.com and tell me your flu fighting tips!
Your story could help a child, grandparent, someone fighting a chronic illness or simply help someone maintain their overall wellness.
I’m excited to hear what tips you have!
Thank you for reading, watching and contributing!

Great to know, since aren’t we all trying to avoid the flu?!?
Thanks!
It seems like this year especially, people have been hit hard with it!
Make sure to grab the recipe, it should be working now!
Got the recipe, thanks. Looks really good. I was just wondering about vegetarian replacements for the stock and the added meat items. I usually use tofu, but is it not as healthy? (I could just leave it out.) I also use veggie broth (but should I just use water?)
Hi Rachel! What would you like to know about vegetarian stock replacements? I’d be happy to answer.
You can use veggie broth or water! Whatever you decide is great. Tofu is a solid source of protein. If you let me know your definition of healthy, I can better answer your question around tofu.
Thanks Rachel!
